PNC Marketing Unique Career Paths Deck Design

While at PNC the Marketing department decided to create a series of sessions to highlight employees who’ve had unique career paths at PNC. I volunteered to design the decks to highlight each interviewee. These decks are attached to the meeting invites as a pre-read or takeaway item. While working through the design, keeping it close to PNC’s brand was integral…I sit on our Brand Strategy Marketing team! I kept it simple so readers can focus on the content rather than being distracted by the design. I leaned into our primary and secondary palette and aimed to keep it easy to read by minimizing the use of orange on white. When orange and white were used together, it was at a larger font size to promote readability. Additionally, because these question-led sessions focus on career paths, I used imagery to link back to “journeys”, “paths” and “conversation” to keep it relevant to the topics and session format.

Discovery Space Children’s Museum

While at Discovery Space, we participated in the annual Centre Gives donation drive. Discovery Space was the main sponsor. To drive awareness of the Centre Gives drive among Discovery Space customers, I developed graphic headers for both their website and email blasts. They were simple pieces to remind viewers when the event was happening.

Discovery Space Children’s Museum - Driving Small Donation Consideration

Based on Discovery Space’s research they found people were willing to give to Centre Gives, but felt it was only worth giving if they donated large amounts. For this project I designed several social posts to drive consideration for smaller donations by showing even small amounts mean the world to kids.

Penn State College of Communications

I also had the chance to work on Penn State’s first ever Go Freelance event sponsored by the College of Communications. This event showcased speakers in the communications industry, workshops to prepare for the industry and advice for becoming your own boss by freelancing. This signage was used on a large display outside of the event to give the sessions a solid identity and legitimacy. The logo was not created by me, but I was required to use the logo within the design.
