UX Classwork
I heard out my interests and completed a UX Design Certificate at Cornell while working full-time.
I engaged in design thinking to solve an issue, starting with research all the way through to testing. My design system will benefit the health and fitness industry through increasing efficiency and cultivating positive fitness experiences.
The Problem:
Tech-savvy gym-goers struggle to access the necessary equipment to reach their health and fitness goals due to availability limitations.
Oftentimes equipment is “in use” by others who aren’t actively using it. Due to their poor time management, others with fitness goals suffer.
For gym-goers, this means you have to wait, ask others for equipment, or change your fitness plan, all of which hinder your health and fitness goals.

Usability Test Results
Participant was able to complete all 6 tasks without error.
Participant did not have excessive clicking; clicks matched “happy path”.
Areas to improve:
1. Use built in scroll bars instead of screen within screen scrollbars.
2. Higher contrast on menu and help icons.
